Fish Frying 101

Creating the ultimate fish lunch is easy if you just follow a few simply rules




1. Always start with high quality fresh fish fillets

2. Clean the fillets by removing any dark fatty areas and check for any remaining bones that may have been missed

3.  Use a quality breading or batter and coat the fillets immediately before frying. (Pre-coating will allow spices to absorb into the fillet)

4. Preheat your frying oil to 350 degrees. Keeping your cooking oil between 330 to 360 degrees is the most important step in the frying process.

5. Insert your coated fillets into the hot oil and fry until crisp. Depending on thickness, fish does not take long to cook and most people have a tendency to over cook.
